What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are essential for a site to function; others are used for analytics or advertising. Under UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations), only strictly-necessary cookies can be set without your consent — anything else requires you to opt in first.
The cookies we use
We only set strictly-necessary cookies. Because of this, we do not show a consent banner asking you to accept optional cookies — there aren’t any. We do show a short notice so you know cookies are in use.

We store your dismissal of the cookie notice in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie), so the notice does not reappear on every visit.
Cookies we do not use
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social-media trackers, or any other non-essential cookies. We do not build advertising profiles or sell your data.
Third-party content
Some pages load content from third parties to make the service work — for example Stripe (secure checkout), Cloudinary and Vercel Blob (images), and OpenStreetMap (service-area maps). These providers may set their own cookies on their own domains when their content is used. We only include them where they are needed to deliver a feature you are using.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking them may stop parts of Housey (such as signing in) from working.
