Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Housey. By using the site you agree to them, so please read them carefully.

Last updated: 8 July 2026

1. Who we are

Housey is a property-services marketplace owned and operated by Quill Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07363552, with its registered office at 20–22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU. In these terms “we”, “us”, and “Housey” mean Quill Media Ltd.

2. What Housey does

Housey connects homeowners (“consumers”) who need property services with local businesses (“providers”) who offer them. Consumers describe their project; our matching engine routes the request to suitable providers; providers submit quotes; and the consumer chooses whether to accept one.

Housey is an introducer only. Any contract for services is between the consumer and the provider directly. We are not a party to that contract, we do not carry out the work, and we do not supervise, guarantee, or warrant the services, quotes, pricing, or conduct of any provider or consumer.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract to use Housey. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for the accuracy of the information you provide. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used unlawfully or fraudulently.

4. Consumer terms

  • Submitting a request is free.
  • Quotes are provided by independent providers. You are responsible for checking a provider’s suitability, credentials, and insurance before engaging them.
  • When you accept a quote, you enter a contract directly with that provider. Any dispute about the work is between you and the provider, although we will try to help where we can.
  • You may leave a review after a job is completed. Reviews must be honest, based on genuine experience, and are moderated before publication.

5. Provider terms

  • Providers buy credits and spend them to submit quotes on leads. Credit pricing and lead costs are shown in your dashboard before purchase.
  • Credits are non-refundable except as described in your dashboard or where required by law. Credits do not expire.
  • Providers must hold the qualifications, registrations, and insurance required for the services they offer, and must supply accurate verification information on request.
  • Providers are responsible for the work they carry out and for their own compliance with applicable laws and professional standards.

6. Payments

Credit purchases are processed securely by Stripe. By purchasing you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • submit false, misleading, or unlawful information;
  • use Housey to send spam or to harvest others’ data;
  • attempt to circumvent our lead system, interfere with the site’s security, or disrupt the service;
  • infringe anyone’s intellectual property or other rights.

8. Intellectual property

The Housey name, logo, site content, and knowledge-base articles are owned by or licensed to Quill Media Ltd and are protected by law. You may not copy or reuse them without our permission, except as expressly allowed.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, and because Housey is an introducer rather than a supplier of services, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, work, or solvency of any provider or consumer, or for any contract you enter with them. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Housey service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Privacy

We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Housey after we post changes means you accept the updated terms. The “last updated” date above shows when this version took effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
