Fuel types and supply considerations

Mains gas: Convenient for connected properties, but gas pressure can fluctuate during major incidents. Installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. The generator must be sited in a well-ventilated external location.

LPG (liquefied petroleum gas): Suitable for off-grid properties. Requires a dedicated tank (above or below ground) subject to minimum separation distances from buildings.
